A paper of our visiting student, Gabby (Guoying) Yao, in the title of Photo-Induced Long-Distance Charge Transfer in Silicanes: the Stacking Matters, has been accepted by Nano Letters. Here is the link to the paper. This is a work of proposing a concept of regional natural hole orbital and its associated particle orbital to characterize excited states in solids. We used this method to character states of silicane (SiH) in different stockings, and found that photo-induced long-distance charge transfer up to 10 Å can occur in the 1H and 6R stackings of SiH, but not the 3R stacking. Gabby is a PhD student from Professor Kevin Yang's group at Sun Yet-sen University, China. She visited our group in the two years of 2023 and 2024. Congratulations to Gabby!
